- The underlying message of each entry should demonstrate the relationship between tobacco and the environment with an emphasis in appealing to students to advocate for a healthy campus.
- The tagline, "Pause for a Cause UCI" must be included at the end of the video .
- Typical rules of public broadcasting apply. Each video entry must not contain any foul language, cruelty to humans or animals and nudity. The video must also support UCI's goals of honoring diversity and not include elements of racism or discrimination.
- Each video must not exceed more than three (3) minutes in length; any videos exceeding this time limit will not qualify.
- There will be a maximum of 5 people allowed to work on each video entry.
A spending cap of $200 will be implemented for each entry to create a more level range of competition. This is a spending cap, however we encourage low budget productions as there will be no funding provided for the creation of the video.
