The UCI Volunteer Center changed its name to The Center for Service in Action in September of 2007. This change is a reflection of the programs and services that we offer to the UCI campus and community. As we continue to expand traditional programs, such as Alternative Break, and campus wide service projects, we also plan to host innovative co-curricular programs that demonstrate the value of service and education. Our goal is to create opportunities for students to develop a sense of civic responsibility, and cultivate awareness about social concerns by promoting hands-on experience.
